We're on the Move

Earlier in March some posts started popping up on my Instagram feed advertising dealer spaces at a new collective venture, Rag & Bone at The Hidden Lane in Glasgow's West End. The posts really piqued Sean and I's interest, so we decided to find out what it was all about, and we are so glad we did.

Our new home

We walked into a space that needs some work, but one thing we don't lack is vision and we knew almost immediately that it was the right opportunity, in the right space at the right time and a solution to our biggest challenge - presenting our products to our customers in the way we want to.

Why are we moving?

Our plan for 2025 was to use local markets to build our profile and connect with customers, and the few markets we took part in really helped us do that, but we realised quickly it wasn't a long-term solution. As it turns out luxury textiles don't like Scottish weather, and despite our best efforts it was clear that a market stall just wasn't going to give us what we need to show off our work in the best possible light.

Finding a small permanent space was high on the priority list but we didn't expect it to happen so quickly. It's a huge step forward for us; and the move has given us the scope to expand our Made to Order lines much sooner than we thought we'd be able to, develop deeper relationships with fabric houses who share our sustainability ethos and our aesthetic, such as Colours of Arley, and begin to ramp up our search for those unicorns of the textile world - vintage furnishings fabrics.

All going to plan, we'll be in the new space from May and we just cannot wait. You'll be able to view samples of everything we do, from furniture to curtains to lampshades and gifts, and of course chat to us about your interior dreams and find out how we can help you stamp your personality all over your home.

A really exciting time lies ahead and we can't wait to share our journey with you. Make sure you're following us on our Facebook or Insta, and while you're at it, give The Rag & Bone Man a follow to stay up to date with ALL the developments for the space!
